Chief adviser Yunus to leave Dhaka for Baku Monday to join COP-29

Dhaka, Nov 10 - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will leave Dhaka for Baku tomorrow on a four-day state visit to attend the global climate summit "Conference of Parties-29 (COP-29)".

"The chief adviser will leave Dhaka by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight tomorrow," Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told BSS.

He said the chief Adviser will pay a state visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 14 to attend the climate meet.

The press secretary said the chief adviser will spend a very busy time during his visit.

Bangladesh, one of the most climate vulnerable countries, will present its demands and the risks that the country is facing due to climate change during the summit, he said.

Alam said Prof Yunus will address various forums of the COP-29 and he is scheduled to meet dignitaries participating in the climate meet. – Source – BSS News
