Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have

According to a BGB press release, the operation was conducted in the Shashidal border area under Brahmanpara upazila by a patrol team from Sultanpur Battalion (60 BGB), acting on specific intelligence received earlier in the day.

During the raid, BGB personnel recovered a substantial quantity of high-quality Indian sarees being smuggled into the country illegally.

The value of the seized goods has been estimated at Taka 1,70,17,000.

The seized items are currently in the process of being handed over to the concerned customs office following due legal procedures.

He emphasized that intelligence surveillance and operational efforts have been further strengthened in the area, and such operation will continue in the future.
