BGB Detains 5 Trying to Enter India Illegally

Members of Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) detained five Bangladeshis including a child on Saturday night when they were attempting to enter India illegally though Birol border in Dinajpur Sadar upazila.


The detainees are Shri Panchanan Chandra Roy, 33, son of Prabhas Chandra Roy, resident of Tangua village of Dinajpur’s Khansama Upazila, his wife Taapsee Rani Roy, 28, and their 3-year-old son Deepta Chandra Roy, Shri Tapu Chandra Roy, 19, son of Paresh Chandra Roy of Sujalpur village of Birganj upazila and Paulina Hemram, 14, daughter of Haren Hemram of Brindabanpur village of Rajshah’s Godagari, reports UNB.

BGB 42 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Ahsan Ul Islam said they detained five people in Mouchusa village Dipapara, 300 yards of Main Border Pillar 329 / Sub Pillar 8-S inside Bangladesh.

Later, a case was filed against them and handed over to Birol Police , added the officer.
