Former Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda
Dhaka, Oct 07 - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested former Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda from the Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah district.
BGB headquarter’s Public Relation Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the information.
Narayan Chandra Chanda, a former Member of Parliament from Khulna-5, was apprehended while he was attempting to cross into India illegally, BGB said.
Narayan Chandra served as the Minister of Land after being elected as an MP in the 12th national election. He was elected as an MP three consecutive times in 2008, 2014, and 2018.-UNB
