Sylhet, Jan 17 - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained two Indian nationals along with smuggled goods from the border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj.

The detainees, Korol Garo, 45, and Maluchh Garo, 30, are from Daliabasti village in the Saigram area of East Khasia Hill district of India’s Meghalaya.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from BGB-48 conducted raids in several border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj on Friday, leading to the detentions, according to a press release from the paramilitary force.

The seized goods are estimated to be worth over Tk 43 lakh.

Lieutenant Colonel Md.
