Two Bangladeshi nationals who were picked up by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) from Gatiarvita border in Patgram upazila on Friday night were sent back after being held for nearly eight hours.

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) brought back the Bangladesh nationals through the zero point of Burimari land port around 2 am following a flag meeting between BGB and BSF, said a media release of BGB.

Those who returned home were Mahfuz Islam Emon, an SSC examinee of Dhabalsati village and his uncle Sajedul Islam.

Ashraful Zaman Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Patgram Police Station said they were handed over to their families.

Earlier on Friday, the BSF members picked up Sajedul and his nephew Emon from the Gatiarvita border in Patgram upazila when they went to the bordering area to take photos, reports UNB.
