Gold Prices Rise in Bangladesh Market Again

Gold prices have increased in Bangladesh, with the revised rates taking effect on Friday morning (October 9).

Under the new rates, the price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk 231,665 per bhori, including value-added tax (VAT). The price of 21-carat gold is Tk 221,281 per bhori, while 18-carat gold costs Tk 189,940 per bhori. Gold sold under the traditional method is priced at Tk 154,994 per bhori.

The latest increase follows a price reduction on Monday. At that time, 22-carat gold was priced at Tk 229,081 per bhori, including VAT. The prices of 21-carat and 18-carat gold were Tk 218,816 and Tk 187,907 per bhori, respectively. Traditional-method gold was priced at Tk 153,498 per bhori.

With the latest adjustment, gold prices in Bangladesh have been revised 121 times so far this year. Prices have increased on 59 occasions and decreased on 62.

In 2025, gold prices were adjusted 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 reductions.
