Mohammad Hatem elected BKMEA president

Mohammad Hatem has been elected  President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) for the term 2025-27.


Fazle Shamim Ehsan has been elected the Executive Vice President.

The election for the office bearers of the BKMEA Board of Directors for the 2025-27 tenure was held on Thursday at BKMEA's head office in Narayanganj.

According to the pre-announced schedule by the Election Board, candidates collected and submitted their nomination papers.

Nine nomination papers were submitted for the nine office bearer positions including President, Executive President, Senior Vice President, Vice President (Finance), and five Vice Presidents.

The Election Board scrutinised the nominations and published the final list.

All candidates were elected unopposed.

The five elected Vice Presidents are Md. Samsuzzaman, Gowher Siraj Jamil (Chattogram), Ashiqur Rahman, Fakir Kamruzzaman Nahid, and Mohammad Rashed, reports UNB.
