RU becomes the country's best university
Rajshahi University (RU) has ranked as the best among all universities in Bangladesh.
RU achieved this position in the "US News Best Global University Ranking".
According to a RU press release here this afternoon, scoring 45.5 out of 100, RU ranked 612th in this ranking, 176th among the Best Global Universities in
Asia, and first in Bangladesh.
This information was found in the 2026-2027 world university rankings list published on the US News website on June 16. RU's position has improved
compared to last year.
Last year, it secured second place in Bangladesh with a score of 41.3, the release added.
On RU's achievement of first place, RU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Md. Faridul Islam congratulated the university's researchers, teachers, students,
and everyone involved, reports BSS.
He expressed hope that this position will improve further on the global stage in the future.
