CU expels two students for life over sexual assault

The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) have expelled two of students for life for their involvement in the sexual assault of a female student.



The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) have expelled two of students for life for their involvement in the sexual assault of a female student.
The decision was taken at the meeting of the university’s Board of Health, Residence and Disciplinary Committee on Saturday (July 23) afternoon.
The students were known as Md Azim, second year student of History Department, and Nurul Absar Babu of Anthropology Department.
CU Proctor Dr Robiul Hasan Bhuiyan confirmed the information.
Alongside, the CU authorities will recommend National University (NU) to take action against the remaining two accused who are students of Hathazari College, he said.
