Bangabandhu's homecoming day celebrated at NSTU

After that, various organizations including Bangladesh Chhatra League NSTU unit paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation.



The historic Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated with due dignity at Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU) on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Professor Dr Didar-ul-Alam, Vice-Chancellor of the university, laid a wreath at the mural of the Father of the Nation on the campus in the morning.

After that, various organizations including Bangladesh Chhatra League NSTU unit paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation.

The VC Professor Dr Didar-ul-Alam said, '' The day is very significant for the Bengali nation. After the final victory in the Great Liberation War, on this day, the nation received Bangabandhu back among them. Millions of people, overcome with joy, gave a spontaneous welcome to Bangabandhu. This day will therefore be marked as 'journey from darkness to light' in our national life.''

At that time, Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dean Professor Dr. Ashiqur Rahman Khan, Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Hall Provost and Environmental Science and Disaster Management Department Chairman Dr. Mohammad Mohinuzzaman, Assistant Proctor Shahin Qadir Bhuiyan and Registrar (Acting) Mohammad Abdur Rahman were present, among others.
