The authorities concerned of CUET took the decision at an emergency meeting.
Saiful Islam, deputy director of Student’s Welfare Department of the university, said a show-cause notice was also served and they were asked to explain within February 8, said a press release of the university issued on Saturday.
According to the press release, during an anti-drug rive, the university authorities found drugs in the pockets of the two students when they were going to the campus from Chattogram city by a bus.
Earlier, four students of CUET were suspended for having liquor in December, 2023.
