2 CUET students suspends for possessing drugs

(UNB) - Two students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have been suspended for possessing drugs.

The authorities concerned of CUET took the decision at an emergency meeting.
Saiful Islam, deputy director of Student’s Welfare Department of the university, said a show-cause notice was also served and they were asked to explain within February 8, said a press release of the university issued on Saturday.
According to the press release, during an anti-drug rive, the university authorities found drugs in the pockets of the two students when they were going to the campus from Chattogram city by a bus.
Earlier, four students of CUET were suspended for having liquor in December, 2023.
