DU student’s body recovered from campus



Dhaka University, Mar 31 - The body of a female student of Dhaka University (DU) was recovered from her home in the university’s residential quarter on Fuller Road early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Adrita Binte Mosharraf, 21, a first year student of the Management Department and daughter of the department’s head Prof Mosharaff Hossain.

She used to live with her family on the third floor of the residential building number 19 on DU campus.

Family members said that Adrita died by suicide early Sunday. Seeing her body hanging from the ceiling fan, family members informed police.

Being informed, Shahbagh Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Mostazirur Rahman said they rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

The body was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the physicians declared her dead on arrival around 7:30 am, he said.-UNB
