Dhaka, Jul 16 -The Education Ministry has announced the closure of all secondary and higher secondary educational institutions as well as polytechnic institutes until further notice, citing concerns for student safety amid the ongoing quota reform protests.

The directive was issued on Tuesday through a press release signed by M.A. Khayer, the ministry’s public relations officer.

In a related development, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee postponed the HSC and equivalent exams scheduled for July 18. The new dates for the postponed exams will be announced later.

However, HSC, equivalent exams scheduled for July 21 will proceed as planned, according to the press release. - UNB
