Student-Teacher rallies for health safety to build healthy Bangladesh.

Dhaka, 27 October 2024, today in the auditorium of Rampura Ekramunnecha High School, a student-teacher rally was held to ensure health protection and build a healthy Bangladesh. Students and teachers of 15 schools and colleges in the capital were present at the gathering. The theme of the rally was “Ensure Health Protection, Build a Health Friendly Bangladesh”.

Mr. Abdul Momen, Thana Academic Supervisor, Badda: Children are our future. 48 percent of the country’s population is young, and we must come forward to keep the students of schools, colleges, and universities healthy and strong. Today’s students are tomorrow’s guides. Health care is a very important issue. Students need to be aware of health care right from their school life.

Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Director, Shastho Shurokkha Foundation: Today’s children are the messengers of tomorrow’s good governance. Our only aim should be to focus on their health. School college students are our future Bangladesh. To build this future Bangladesh, we have taken a pledge to form 1000  health protection clubs in various schools and colleges of Bangladesh. In continuation of that, we are present here today through the student-teacher assembly. We will maintain our continuity and move forward with the

students at schools and colleges in the hope of building a healthy and beautiful Bangladesh with a healthy and beautiful nation.

Dr. Md. Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Executive Director, Shastho Shurokkha Foundation: We know that our first and foremost tools for a healthy life are our healthy body and healthy mind. Health protection is a very important issue for all of us. If we do not learn to be health conscious from the beginning of our lives, our future is dark, and we cannot knowingly lead ourselves to a dark future. So, our first and foremost responsibility from now on will be to look after our health and build a healthy and beautiful future.

Md. Mizanur Rahman, Head Teacher, Rampura Ekramunnesa High School: We want to lead the students at our school forward with the conviction of building a healthy and strong Bangladesh. It is our utmost wish that the students and teachers of the school know about the importance of health care from their perspective and apply it properly. If students do not live a healthy life, their future is black, and we can never let that happen. I think it can be a very effective step to get our own families as well as school students interested in teaching about

health care.

Mughni Akhtar and Md. Badrul Hasan Majumdar, who led the Shastho Shurokkha Club: Our future is in our hands and the sooner we learn to understand this, the better for us. We are still passing through an age which can help us to play an unprecedented role in motivating ourselves to develop ourselves physically and

humanly, if we can move forward considering our own mistakes. For that, taking care of our health and body is a special responsibility.

Students and teachers at various schools and colleges including Khilbari Tek Islamia High School, Cholmaid School and College, Alhaj Rahim Ullah Mulla Dakhil Madrasa and Rampura Girls High School were also present in this gathering. - Press Release
