JU student shot during mass uprising, taken to Thailand

Jahangirnagar University (JU), Nov 17 - A student of English department of Jahangirnagar University who was shot in head during the student-led movement has been taken to Thailand for better treatment.

Kajol Mia was taken to Bangkok by air ambulance late at night on Sunday.

National Institute of Neurosciences Hospital (NINS) Associate Professor Dr. Humayun Kabir said his condition gradually improved after three months of treatment at HDU, but his left arm and leg became completely incapable.

Kajol was shot in the head at Jatrabari in Dhaka on August 5 during the movement. Later he was taken to National Institute of Neurosciences Hospital (NINS) in Dhaka.-UNB
