JCD Unveils 10-Point Manifesto for Ducsu Polls

The panel supported by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) announced their 10-point manifesto for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) election with the slogan “Not promises, but committed to change.”


VP (Vice President) candidate Abidul Islam Khan unveiled the manifesto around 12 noon at a press conference at Bottala on the campus.

The manifesto includes building a modern, joyful, livable and safe campus with priority on education and research.

Ensuring a safe campus for female students, protection of women’s health, and enhancing their capacity.

Ensuring quality healthcare, health insurance for students and facilitating education and mobility for students with special needs.

Modernising curriculum, infrastructure, and examination system and improvement of research quality.

Introducing battery-run shuttle service.

Providing harassment-free administrative services, student loans, and campus-based employment opportunities.

Besides, engaging youth in constructive activities and increasing sports and cultural programmes.

Providing digital facilities for students, cyber security, and prevention from bullying.

Building proper waste management system, environment and animal-friendly campus.

Besides, building an effective Ducsu and increasing Dhaka University’s involvement in the international arena, reports UNB.
