DU VC meets Oxford University Emeritus Prof

Emeritus Professor Dr. Sir Walter Bodmer of the University of Oxford paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan today.


The meeting was held  at the office of the Vice Chancellor where they exchanged views on the modernization of academic and research activities at Dhaka University. 

The Vice Chancellor briefed the visiting scholar on the university’s history, and its ongoing educational and research initiatives. 
The DU VC also thanked Dr. Bodmer for visiting the university and delivering a series of special lectures.

Earlier, Professor Sir Walter Bodmer delivered a keynote lecture titled ‘Human Genome: Cancer and Immunotherapy’ at the Pharmacy Lecture Theatre of DU. 

Besides, Dr. Sir Walter Bodmer delivered four other special lectures in different departments of the university during his visit, reports BSS.
