Cristiano Ronaldo Makes Scripted TV Debut in Hollywood

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is expanding his career into Hollywood, making his scripted television debut with Day 1s, a football drama in which he also serves as an executive producer.

The series features an ensemble cast that includes former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, Homeland and Billions actor Damian Lewis, British rapper Dave and newcomer Carlotta Banat.

Ronaldo, the captain of Saudi club Al-Nassr, is not only appearing in the project but is also helping produce it, marking his most significant move yet into the entertainment industry.

"This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures," Ronaldo said while announcing the project.

Day 1s is being developed by UR•Marv Studios, the production company Ronaldo co-founded with filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, best known for directing the Kingsman films and Kick-Ass.

The pair launched the studio with the aim of developing innovative film and television projects.

Vaughn has previously praised Ronaldo's storytelling ability, saying the football legend had "created stories on the pitch that I could never have written" and expressing enthusiasm about bringing that creativity to the screen.

According to media reports, filming is already underway at Barnet FC's stadium in north-west London, where Thierry Henry was recently spotted on set.

Unlike traditional feel-good football stories, Day 1s explores the high-stakes world behind the game. The drama centres on Stanley Dalton, a fictional elite football agent played by Damian Lewis, as he navigates the glamour, power struggles and ruthless realities of modern football.
