Actress Apu gets bail in attempted murder case

A Dhaka court on Sunday granted bail to Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas in an attempted murder case filed with Bhatara Police Station.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman passed the order on bond of Tk 10,000.
Earlier on June 2, the High Court granted her the anticipatory bail for six weeks in the case.
According to the prosecution, Enamul Haque was injured during the July Uprising Movement in front of Bhatara Police Station on July 19 last year.
Later, Enamul filed a case against 283 people including Sheikh Hasina, actress Nusrat Faria, Nipun Akter, Ashna Habib Bhabna, Zayed Khan and Apu Biswas with Bhatara Police Station in March, 2025.
Police arrested actress Nusrat Faria on May 18. Later, she secured bail from the court on May 20, reports UNB.
