IM Fahad takes joint lead

Dhaka, 7 Oct - International master Mohammad Fahad Rahman took joint lead in the points table with 1.5 points after the second round games of First Saturday Grand Masters Chess event which is now being held in Budapest, Hungary.

FM Manon Reja Neer bagged one point after the second round.
FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia earned one point after the second round in the International Masters Chess event while woman candidate master Walijah Ahmed collected 1.5 points after the second round in the Under-2250 rating event. 

The second round games of all events were held on Sunday last. 

In the second round matches, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman split point with FM Panesar Vedant of India, FIDE master Manon Reja Neer split point with Sriansh Das of India. In the International Master Chess event FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia split point with IM To Nhat Minh of Vietnam and in rating chess, woman candidate master Walijah Ahmed split point with Poor Sandor of Hungary.
