Mild heat wave may sweep at places over south-western part of the country , valid for 24 hours commencing 9am Saturday.



Mild heat wave may sweep at places over south-western part of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9am Saturday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over northern part of the country," the bulletin added.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Khulna and Chuadanga minimum temperature today was 21.5 degrees Celsius at Dimla.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 146 mm at Rajarhat.
The sun sets at 6.46 pm Saturday and rises at 5.10 am Sunday in the capital.
