A well-marked low depression has formed over the northeast of the Bay of Bengal. It is moving northwestwards.
The sea has remained rough due to the well-marked low depression.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department has advised country’s all maritime ports including Cox’s Bazar to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.
The Cox’s Bazar administration and Tourist Police have warned tourists not to get into sea waters.
Under its influence, squally weather may affect the Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra ports, North Bay, and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
All fishing boats and trawlers over north bay and deep sea have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
