Cold wave may abate from some places

BMD Saturday predicted that the ongoing mild to moderate cold wave may abate some places in the next 24 hours commencing 9am Saturday.



Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)  Saturday predicted that the ongoing mild to moderate cold wave may abate some places in the next 24 hours commencing 9am Saturday.
 "Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the districts of Naogaon ad Moulvibazar and it may abate from some places," said a BMD bulletin.
 Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins and adjoining areas and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places, it added.
 Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of drizzle at one or two places over Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
 However, night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.
 Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 29.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf, while the minimum temperature today was 6.1 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
 The sun sets at 5.31pm today and rises at 6.44am tomorrow in the capital.
