Mild cold wave may spread

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today said that mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Nilphamari, Pabna, Dinajpur and Kurigram and it may continue in the next 24 hours.



 Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today said that mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Nilphamari, Pabna, Dinajpur and Kurigram and it may continue in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am Thursday.
"Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere the country during late night to Friday
morning," said a met office release here today. Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it
added.
However, night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 31.0 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar, while the minimum temperature today was 8.6 degrees Celsius
at Rajarhat.
The sun sets at 5.45 pm Thursday and rises at 6.40 am Friday in the capital.
