Severe heat wave is continuing in two districts and mild to moderate heat wave in 50 districts of the country.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) recorded 41 degree Celsius temperature on Sunday.
According to a met office forecast for the next 24 hours commencing 6.00am Monday,
Severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Dinajpur and Nilphamary, and mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over rests of districts of Rangpur division, 13 districts of Dhaka division, eight districts of Rajshahi division, 10 districts of Khulna division, six districts of  Barishal division and Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali and Bandarban districts.Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded by 41.1 degree Celsius in Dinajpur and 37.6 degree Celsius minimum temperature was recorded in the capital Dhaka.
