Heat wave to stay; rain likely in Ctg Div; monsoon in Teknaf

A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. 

Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions, according to a forecast made by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department. 

Severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Noagaon, Dinajpur, Jashore and Chuadanga. Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions and the remaining parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the district of Sylhet and it may continue. 

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Wind direction and speed at Dhaka : South or Southeasterly (10-15) kph. Relative humidity at 06 P.M. of Dhaka 

South-west monsoon may advance up to Teknaf coast. Extended outlook for another 05(five) days : Rainfall activity may increase.
