Dense fog to drive temperature lower across the country

Temperatures across the country, especially in the northern and western regions, dropped due to heavy dense fog.

The capital, Dhaka, also experienced thick fog since dawn on Tuesday (December 12), accompanied by a chilly wind.

According to the weather department, the lowest temperature in the country this season was recorded on Monday (December 11) at Badalgachi in Naogaon. The temperature was 11.4 degree Celsius there.

The temperature may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday night, met office said.

Lowest temperature recorded in Dinajpur

Inhabitants of Dinajpur district experienced the country's lowest temperature today (December 12).

The lowest temperature 13.3 degree Celsius was recorded in the upazila at 6:00am on Tuesday, met office sources.

Tofazzal Hossain, an official of Dinajpur's regional weather office confirmed the matter.
