Israeli army expands incursion in southern Syria

An Israeli forces patrol of four vehicles pushed into the al-Amal Farms in the northern Quneitra countryside, setting fires there before withdrawing from the area, our colleagues on the ground reported.

Israeli forces also fired seven artillery rounds at the edges of Beit Jin in the western Damascus countryside, before pushing into the town’s southern entrance.

The army set up a checkpoint nearby and searched several farmers.

Israel has escalated raids and artillery shelling across southern Syria despite US-brokered security talks between Damascus and Israel, reports AL Jazeera.
