At least 22 hospitals have ceased operations in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli strikes, the press service of the enclave government reported.

According to the statement, 22 hospitals and 49 medical centers are out of service due to "Israeli aggression", the press services of the Gaza Strip government said on Facebook (banned in Russia; owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation). It was noted that the Israeli army also shot 53 ambulances.

The situation in the Middle East deteriorated dramatically after Hamas fighters from Gaza infiltrated Israel on October 7. Hamas claims its strike is in reaction to Israeli attacks against Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque. Israel declared a total blockade of Gaza and began retaliating against it as well as specific areas of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes occur in the West Bank as well, reports BSS.
