According to the official SANA news agency, the strike occurred around 00:45 AM, with Israeli jets launching an attack from the southeast of Aleppo, targeting multiple sites in the region.
The report stated that the attack resulted in injuries to "a number of soldiers" and unspecified material losses, but did not provide further details.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based war monitor, confirmed the strikes targeted military installations in the area. The group also noted that Iranian Revolutionary Guard members and pro-Iranian factions are present in the region.
Since the start of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes across Syria, primarily aimed at military positions and Iran-backed fighters, including those from Hezbollah.
Israel has significantly increased its airstrikes on Syria amid rising tensions with Hezbollah in neighboring Lebanon. Israeli authorities rarely comment on these operations but have consistently stated their intention to prevent Iran from expanding its military footprint in Syria.
