The G7 group of nations called Tuesday for a ceasefire in Sudan's civil war, according to a joint statement, as the conflict entered its third year.

"We call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and urge both the SAF and the RSF to engage meaningfully in serious, constructive negotiations," the joint statement said, referring to the Sudanese army and RSF paramilitary group, reports BSS.
