At least 20 people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a Russian-held area of Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, Russian authorities said on Thursday.
Vladimir Saldo, the Moscow-installed governor of the occupied part of Kherson, said three unmanned aerial vehicles struck a café and a hotel in the coastal settlement of Khorly on the Black Sea. According to preliminary information, more than 50 people were injured and 24 were killed.
Russia’s Investigative Committee said it has opened a criminal probe into the attack, confirming that more than 20 people were killed and many others wounded.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine further details surrounding the strike.
