Larijani Urges Muslim Nations to Back Iran Against US

Iran’s senior security official Ali Larijani has called on Muslim-majority countries to clarify their stance amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, saying Iran remains resolute in its confrontation with the United States and Israel.

In a message directed to the Muslim world, Larijani expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of support from several Muslim nations following attacks on Iran.

“Some countries have gone even further by treating Iran as an adversary simply because it targeted American bases and interests, including those located within their territories,” he said.

Iran maintains that its military actions are directed only at US interests in the Middle East. However, drone and missile strikes linked to the conflict have hit civilian locations, including hotels and energy facilities in parts of the Gulf region.

Larijani said Iran could not be expected to remain passive while American military bases operate in neighbouring countries.

“The confrontation today is essentially between America and Israel on one side, and Iran and the forces of resistance on the other,” he said, urging Muslim countries to consider where they stand in the conflict.

At the same time, Larijani called for unity among Muslim nations, emphasising that Iran does not seek dominance over the region.

“You know well that America shows no lasting loyalty and that Israel is your adversary,” he said, urging greater solidarity across the Muslim world.
