Certification for Rooppur NPP employees in metal inspection

Certification centre ‘AUC CNIITMASH’, the state scientific centre of Russia conducted a two-month long certification of Rooppur NPP employees in the field of destructive and non-destructive inspection of metals, in Russia recently.

Based on theoretical knowledge, practical skills on visual and dimensional, ultrasonic, and eddy current methods of inspection as well results of the interview by the Examination Board, 11 Bangladeshi specialists were certified as BPVZ (without right of issuing an examination conclusion) and SPVZ (with right of issuing an examination conclusion).

‘Our work with students took two months and had 3 stages - examining theoretical knowledge, testing practical skills on two examination samples, and an interview”, said Lubov Voronkova, Senior Researcher of CNIITMASH Laboratory of Ultrasonic Research Methods and Metrology.

‘AUC CNIITMASH’ was established in 1980. It is a company of Atomenergomash, machine building division of Rosatom. For more than 40 years the Centre has been certifying personnel in destructive and non-destructive inspection of metals for all industrial fields.
