Charges framed against Evaly chairman, CEO

A Dhaka court has framed charges against e-commerce platform Evaly’s Chairman Shamima Nasrin and her husband CEO and Managing Director Mohammad Rassel Molla .



A Dhaka court has framed charges against e-commerce platform Evaly’s Chairman Shamima Nasrin and her husband CEO and Managing Director Mohammad Rassel Molla in a case filed with Gulshan Police Station over embezzlement of Tk 3.1 lakh from a customer.
The court has also discharged Md Mainul Haque, an employee of the company, from the charges of the case as the court found no evidence to prosecute him.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan passed the order on Wednesday.
The court also issued an arrest warrant against Shamima Nasrin in the case as she remained absent at the court.
On August 11 this year, Md Rafiqul Islam, a sub-inspector of Criminal Investigation Department and also the investigation officer of the case, pressed charges against three people, including the couple.
Arif Baker, a consumer, filed the case against them on September 17 last year.
