The High Court (HC) wanted to know why the Bangladesh government and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) did not seek any information specifically on the money deposited with different Swiss banks by Bangladeshi citizens from the government of Switzerland.
The court asked the government and the ACC to reply within Sunday (August 14).
The bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat on Thursday (August 11) passed the order on a suomuto (voluntary) move following reports published on different newspapers on the statement made by Switzerland Ambassador to Bangladesh Nathalie Chuard.
