Graft case against BNP leader Dulu to continue

The High Court Division has dismissed the application for cancellation of a graft case filed by the ACC against Rangpur divisional organizing secretary of BNP Asadul Habib Dulu.

The court also ordered to dispose of the case within a year.

A High Court Divisional bench comprising of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat passed the order this morning, stating that there is no legal bar to continue the ACC case against him.

According to the case, on January 21 in 2009, ACC filed the case against Dulu for possessing wealth worth more than 1.61 crore Taka beyond his known income source.

Charge sheet was pressed against him on September 29 the same year. Later, the defendant pleaded for cancellation of the case, reports BSS.
