A chargesheet has been submitted against Dainik Bhorer Pata editor Kazi Irteza Hasan and three others in a forgery and fraudulent case.
Police submitted the chargesheet to Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court in Dhaka recently.
Sub-Inspector Md Mehedi Hasan, investigation officer of the case, submitted the chargesheet.
The submission of the chargesheet was known on Friday.
Three other accused are Northern University trustee board chairman Professor Abu Yusuf Md Abdullah, Md Reazul Islam, and Saiful Islam alias Selim Munshi.
It was stated in the chargesheet that instead of Tk 20 crore of the plaintiff, the accused, in connivance with each other, wasted time taking a deed from the plaintiff tactfully. Later, they comleted the registration of the land misguiding the government officials and forgery of the signature of the deed owner.
Ashian Group's director Nazrul Islam's brother Saiful Islam filed the case at Khilkhet Police Station on January 10 last year on charge of forgery and fraulunece against four persons including Kazi Irteza Hasan.
