Spray man Titu Molla has been sent to jail after his remand was over in a case filed after death of two siblings in reaction to cockroach killing insecticide.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arafatul Rakib's court ordered to send Titu Molla to jail after he was produced before the court on Friday (June 9, 2023).

Earlier, investigation officer (IO) of the case Bhatara Police Station sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam pleaded to the court to keep him detained in jail until the probe into the case was over. Responding his plea, the court ordered to send him to jail.

Following his arrest on June 6 last, the court placed Titu Molla on a two-day remand.

In the case, pest control service agency -- DCS Organisation Limited's chairman Ashrafuzzaman and Farhadul Amin have been on remand. On Thursday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Ahmed's court placed each of them on a three-day remand for questioning.

Businessman Mobarak Hossain's two sons -- Shahil Mobarak Zayan (9) and Shayen Mobarak Zahin (15) -- died of reaction of 'cockroach killing insecticide'. Mobarak Hossain is the founder president of Dhaka Royal Club Limited (Uttara). He lives at Basundhara Residential Area with his family. He filed a case with Bhatara Police Station in connection with the death of his sons.
