A Dhaka court has deferred the date for submitting the probe report in a case filed in connection with the snatching of around Tk 11.25 cr of DBBL.

A Dhaka court has deferred the date for submitting the probe report in a case filed in connection with the snatching of around Tk 11.25 crore of Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd (DBBL) to November 23.

Sunday (October 22) was set for submitting the investigation report in the case but the Detective Branch (DB) of police, also the investigation agency of the case, failed to submit the report today, prompting Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mollik to fix a new date for submitting the report.

On March 9, about Tk 11.25 crore was robbed from a vehicle carrying Dutch-Bangla Bank’s money from Uttara area in capital Dhaka.

Following the incident, Alamgir Hossain, director (operations) of Money Plant Link Private Limited, filed the case with Turag Police Station.

Later, the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police claimed to have recovered around Tk 6.43 crore out of the robbed money and detained eight people in this connection.
