The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifur Rahman came up with the order on Saturday (November 4), rejecting his bail petition.

Popular small screen actress Humaira Himu’s boyfriend Mohammad Ziauddin has been sent to jail in a case filed for allegedly provoking the actress to commit suicide.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifur Rahman came up with the order on Saturday (November 4), rejecting his bail petition.

Earlier, Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) of Uttara West Police Station Sabbir Hossain, also the investigation officer of the case, produced Ziauddin before the court and pleaded to keep him detained in jail.

Friday afternoon, Himu was rescued with a rope hanging from her neck with a ceiling fan. From there Himu was taken to the hospital where the doctors on duty declared her dead.

Following Himu’s death, her aunt Nahid Aktar filed a case accusing Ziauddin on the night.

Himu’s fugitive boyfriend Mohammad Ziauddin was arrested by RAB on suspicion of his involvement in her ‘suicide’.
