Verdict in Labour Law violation case against Dr Yunus Jan 1

The Third Labour Court of Dhaka, on Sunday fixed January 1 to deliver the verdict in a Labour Law violation case filed against Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus and three top officials of Grameen Telecom.

On Sunday at about 8 pm, Judge of theThird Labour Tribunal Begum Sheikh Merina Sultana passed the order fixing date to pronounce the verdict of the case.

At about 6.35 pm Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun concluded the submission of argument on behalf of Dr Yunus. Earlier, the submission of argument begun at about 11.30 am.

The defense lawyers sought acquittal of the four defendants including Professor Yunus. - Special Correspondent
