Hefazat's Mamunul Haque secures bail from SC

The appeal bench of six judges, led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan, passed the order on Monday.



The Appellate Division has granted bail to Maulana Mamunul Haque, the former Central Joint Secretary General of Hefazat Islam, in two cases filed with Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj.

Advocate Joynul Abedin moved for the petitioner while Assistant Attorney General Saiful Alam stood for the state during the hearing.

Earlier on October 16, the Appellate Division kept the High Court order ‘Standover’.
