Haque Group’s Adam Tamizi gets bail in CSA case

The High Court (HC) today granted bail to Haque Group Chairman Adam Tamizi Haque in a case filed under the Cyber Security Act (CSA).

The bench of Justice Md Iqbal Kabir and Justice Md Aktaruzzaman passed the bail order.

Tamizi Haque’s lawyer Barrister Sakir Uddin Ahmed Bappi confirmed the media about the bail. The counsel said there is no bar to his release Adam Tamizi from the jail since there are no other case against him.

Earlier on January 4, a Dhaka court sent Adam Tamizi Haque to jail in the CSA case filed with Dakkhinkhan Police Station for making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the country on social media.

On December 10, Tamizi was arrested from his Gulshan residence. - Special Correspondent
