Sinha murder trial death reference reaches HC

The death reference of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder trial judgmenthas reached the HC.

The death reference of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder trial judgment that sentenced suspended police officials Pradip Kumar Das and Liaqat Ali to death, has reached the High Court (HC) Tuesday .

Confirming the matter to journalists, Supreme Court spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman said the documents including the judgment were sent to the High Court for its authorization from the lower court concerned.

Now the death reference wing of the High Court will prepare the paper book of the case and after that the Chief Justice would form a bench to hold hearing on the death reference and appeals of the convicts.

Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge Court on January 31 convicted and sentenced two to death and life imprisonment to six others in this sensational case.
