Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq on 10-day remand in murder case

10-day remand granted to Salman & Anisul in a murder case filed at New Marker police station



Dhaka, Aug 14 - A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted 10-day remand (each) for Salman F Rahman, former private industry affairs adviser to Sheikh Hasina, and former law minister Anisul Huq in a murder case filed at New Market police station in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mamunur Rashid gave the order after police produced them in the court and sought the remand at 7:00 pm. They were produced in court around 6:30 pm.

No lawyers represented either of them.

On Tuesday night (August 13), Salman and Anisul were taken into custody by the Detective Branch of police. Before that, they were arrested in a murder case filed at New Market police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Mainul Hasan said, they were arrested from the Sadarghat area of the capital while attempting to flee.-UNB
