A special tribunal here has set March 15 for pronouncing judgment inTajia procession bomb attack case.



A special tribunal here has set March 15 for pronouncing judgment in a case lodged over 2015 bomb attack at Hosaini Dalan area in the capital hours before bringing out traditional Tajia procession marking Holy Ashura.

“Judge Mozibur Rahman of Dhaka Anti-Terror Tribunal on March 1 has set the date as the both prosecution and defence concluded closing arguments in the case on that day,” tribunal bench assistant Pervej Bhuiyan told  journalists.

Two were killed and more than hundred were injured as several homemade grenades were blasted at Hosaini Dalan area on October 23, 2015, during preparation of Tajia procession in old Dhaka.

 Sub-inspector Jalal Uddin of Chawkbazar Police Station filed the case under anti-terror act over the incident.

 DB inspector Shafiuddin on October 18, 2016, filed charge sheet against 10 accused.

 The accused are- Kabir Hossain, Jahid Hasan, Rubel Islam, Abu Sayeed, Arman, Masud Rana, Hafez Ahsan Ullah Masud, Shah Jalal, Omar Faruk and Chan Miah.
