ICT Tribunal
The International Crime Tribunal (ICT) directed the authorities concerned to produce 10 ministers and four others before the tribunal in the July-August genocide case.
A three-member tribunal, led by its Chairman Md Golam Mortuza passed the order on Sunday.
The accused have been asked to appear on November 18. The court also ordered to show them arrested in the case filed with the tribunal.
The accused people are- former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Faruk Khan, Dipu Moni, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Salman F Rahman, Abdur Razzak, Shahjahan Khan, Kamal Ahmed Majumdar, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Ziaul Ahsan, Retired Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik and former Home Secretary Jahangir Alam.
Earlier, the reconstituted ICT on October 17 issued warrants to arrest against 46 people including ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Obaidul Quader, Anisul Huq, AKM Mozammel Haque, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Hasan Mahmud and Zunaid Ahmed Palak and subsequently produce them before the court by November 18. - Special Correspondent
